I’m a senior multi-disciplinary designer in my third decade of work. Over the course of my career I’ve worked in print, online, coding, and, more recently, motion and 3D (that’s not even mentioning all the defunct technologies that I’ve learned and forgotten over the years).
I’m also a published illustrator. I’m quick, detail-focused and have great instincts about what works and what doesn’t. I have a roster of regular clients who know they can come to me with fast-turnaround jobs and I can deliver. In my free time I walk long distances, take photographs, and bake a decent sourdough. I’m a sci-fi and horror nerd, and I pretty much know all the words to Les Miserables, although I can hit none of the notes. Don’t test me on that.
I'm in my third decade of working in design and I've done everything from printed reports to coding, UX and motion. I currently specialise in moving images, but I like to keep in touch with old-school processes (I recently completed a course in screen-printing),
To me, design is design, regardless of the medium. It could be a poster, a social post, or a piece of packaging; what's important is the detail and the care taken. I love design and it's a love that I can't switch off when the working day ends.
I'm a keen photographer (Fujifilm X-T5, in case you're wondering) and I also sometimes illustrate just for my own amusement. I love food (who doesn't?) and have been trying to perfect my sourdough. Not quite there yet. I'm hugely into retro sci-fi movies and listen to a lot of soundtracks. Basically I'm a nerd.
